Campus Dining and Shops at the University at Buffalo is now hiring Full-Time Prep Employees at its North Campus (Amherst) Location!  
$13.75/hour, benefits included, plus yearly increases based on union contract


  • Minimum one-year food preparation experience required
  • Must have good knife skills
  • Cashier experience preferred with accurate cash handling
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work quickly and efficiently during entire shift in a high volume operation
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English, and have good communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and hygiene required
  • Must be able to lift 30+ pounds, and be able to walk, stand, bend, and reach, as the job requires
  • Must be, or become, ServSafe certified (attend required class and pass test)
  • Dependable transportation and regular attendance required


PRESENT JOB ASSIGNMENTS: (Please note that these assignments are subject to change)

  • General food preparation, including, but not limited to, salad bar prep: dicing, slicing, cutting vegetables
  • Must have good knife skills
  • Greet, prepare orders, and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner, as necessary
  • Must be willing to cross-train in other areas as well as train student workers
  • Cashier duties as required
  • Cleaning of equipment used, general cleaning, and other food service duties as requested by management
