Job Title: Banquet Sales Manager

Department: Catering

Reports To: General Manager of Catering

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Position Summary:

Responsible for sales and customer service for Catering Department.

Essential Functions:

Sales Responsibilities – 70%

  • Responsible for taking all delivery orders, billing each order, prepare delivery order sheets for distribution.
  • Maintains pricing and portion standards.
  • Establishes relationships with prospective and current clients. Proactively manages relationships with clients, thru consistent face to face meetings at least 4 times per month.
  • Updates event orders and maintain constant contact with clients.
  • Manages wedding sales and planning process and is the onsite contact for wedding clients on the day of event.
  • Effectively communicates clients' needs with catering staff to best execute events and meet guest expectations.
  • Completes diagrams for best execution of event.
  • Performs event follow up activities with guests to insure total satisfaction with food and service, and communicates any issues with Director of Catering.
  • Responsible for ordering and communicating rental needs.
  • Initiates and supports marketing initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains community relationships by participating as an active member in appropriate networking organizations. 


Catering -20%

  • Proficient in all hourly positions with the ability to jump in and assist where needed.
  • Establishes and adheres to timeline to conduct events efficiently.
  • Manages events and parties
  • · Participates in subordinate coaching, counseling and disciplinary procedures.
  • · Responsible for training staff on standards and procedure.
  • · Other duties assigned by the Director of Catering.


Administrative – 10%

  • Processes payroll and meets internal CDS deadlines.
  • Processes invoices and prepares them for Directors review on a weekly basis.
  • Processes BEO's and prepares them for billing by the Accounting department.
  • Completes P&L template appropriately on a weekly basis.
